FLOODING SPRAY NOZZLES |

|
|
|
FOR
BROADCAST SPRAYING
The
Delavan 1/4" flood nozzle is a wide-angle flat spray nozzle
offering uniform coverage at lower spraying pressures. It is
well suited for high-volume, high-speed broadcast application
with flotation or truck mounted equipment.
* Color-coding of popular sizes in stainless steel and
thermoplastic makes it easy to match nozzle flow rates for easy
identification.
* Large orifice and passages reduce plugging.
* Quick coupler inlet available for quick connect and
disconnect.
* Material: Stainless Steel and Thermoplastic.
* Spray Angles: Varies from 100o to 145o
depending on pressure and material. For spray angle of specific
nozzle, contact factory.
Self-aligning,
quick-coupler Flood for automatic nozzle alignment
This nozzle design offers automatic and proper nozzle orifice
alignment when using quick couplers. The two slots or grooves on
the nozzle line up with the handle levers, and when the handles
are pushed down into the lock position, the nozzle is aligned.
The handles of the quick coupler cannot be pushed down if the
grooves on the nozzle are not lines up. This nozzle makes
changing and aligning nozzles quick and easy. Stainless steel. |

Recommended
Overlap and Nozzle Height
100%
overlap of spray pattern is recommended for Flood Tips for
uniform coverage. Nozzle height is determined by measuring the
width of the spray pattern as it hits the ground. This width
should be 100% greater or twice as wide as the nozzle spacing.
Adjust nozzle height until this is achieved. If a decision to
tilt the nozzle is made, do it before measuring the width of the
spray on the ground and adjust nozzle height. |

FOR
BROADCAST SPRAYING
This is
a wide-angle, broadcast flat spray tip. A 100% overlap of spray
pattern is recommended to assure adequate coverage. |

NOZZLE
TILT
Delavan's
extensive research on spray patterns has proven that a tilt of
about 45o for flood nozzles or tips will
significantly improve the spray pattern uniformity.
By tilting the nozzle, the effect of boom height variations,
which occur while traveling through the field, are dramatically
reduced. |

*
Color coding makes it easy to match nozzle fow rates for easy
identification.
* Color coding is available in thermoplatic.
* Improved design produces a more consistent spray angle. The
spray angle varies only 100 from 115o to 125o
at 10 psig (7 bars) throughout all sizes.
* The flange on the new D tip has been thickened to use with
DELAFIT/QUICK CHANGE quick attach bodies and caps
* The deflector surface of the new D tip has been moved away
from the outlet (orifice) so that the spray will not impinge on
the nozzle cap. Can be used with all standard and DELAFIT/QUICK
CHANGE caps.
* Large orifice reduces plugging
* Screwdriver slot provides for easy pattern alignment. |

The nozzle fit
allows the spray nozzle to maintain a more fully developed
pattern even when the nozzle outlet is below the recommended
height for the best spray pattern uniformity. |
